Bradford Market tavern
I stayed behind to watch GUNS ON THE ROOF , who had recently lost their lead singer Aaron Harris and now had resorted to a 3 piece, Marc Miles (Bass), Danny Sharp (Guitar) and Joe Sefton (Drums) do their sound check. Much to my horror, I saw Mr. Blobby the sound engineer changing the settings on the desk and despite my protestations was told that all would be ok.
The gig started with GUNS ON THE ROOF , who sounded good and looked good as they slagged off Aaron for leaving them "Cos he wanted to be a fucking pop star". I've seen these guys before, and they seemed to have gelled into a sharper unit. They sang 9 songs, the best of which was "Hangman". The drums are much more to the fore, with a heavy bass complimenting it. They put in a stormer of a set without their former "Pop star" front man in which was their 1st gig as a three piece. They would be a mix of The Jam/Clash and Green Day. My advice is keep going as you are. Three guys working well together is better than 4 that aren't.
